QAre the kennels and cattery heated?

Yes, the kennels & cattery pens have thermostatic controlled heaters which come on automatically during cold weather

QDo I need to supply my own food?

No, we supply your dogs and cats food but if your pet is on a specialist diet or you wish to use your normal food, then you may of course bring it with you.

QCan my dog bring his own bed and toys?

We use Kuranda raised beds with blankets or vet bedding and have an array of toys and balls but you are most welcome to bring your own. Please be advised that anything brought to the kennels is at the owners’ risk

QIf my dog is on any kind of medication are you able to administer it?

Yes, we are happy to administer medication including injections and unlike many of our competitors, we are happy to do this free of charge

QDo you let the dogs out of the kennels?

Yes, at least 5 times a day, watch our video's to see the happy dogs playing off lead in our secure play area

QCan I bring toys for my cat?

Yes, you are welcome to bring toys and your cats favourite bed if you want to, we also have large cat scratchers in every pen for your cats pleasure

QWill you accept my pet if it's not vaccinated?

N0, under no circumstances will we accept non vaccinated pets

QCan we come and visit the kennels and cattery before booking?

Yes, we welcome and openly encourage all customers to view our establishment. We want every customer to feel happy that they have made the right decision about where and who is going to be looking after the four legged family member

QDo you socialise dogs together?

No, we prefer to avoid any chance of accidents happening and the dogs are very happy playing with a member of staff. We would however socialise puppies of the same age and size with the owner's permission

QWill my cat receive lots of cuddles?

Yes, both Dean and Natalie love the cats and cuddles is a major part of their fun filled day

QDo you board small pets, rabbits etc?

No, we prefer to dedicate all of our time to the cats and dogs who come to stay

QDo you offer a wash and blow dry to dogs staying at the kennels.

Yes, we have a qualified groomer who loves to make your best friend all clean and smelling lovely before they go home, please ask for a quote when booking your dog into the kennels

QMy dog is very nervous and I'm worried about putting him in kennels, what should I do?

This is where Silver Birch excels. We pride ourselves on making every dogs stay a pleasurable one and work extremely hard to help the nervous and scared dogs to overcome their fears. It's all about time, patience and love and we have that in abundance. Please feel free to call us and perhaps arrange to come and visit with your doggy, so that together we can help you and your best friend.
