I am a qualified veterinary nurse with two dogs, a bouncy young cross breed who dislikes dogs he doesn’t know and a sensitive old greyhound who is an ex-racer. As you can imagine the last thing I wanted to do was leave either of them in kennels but as the situation has arisen I apprehensively began my search through lists of kennels. I had some important issues with both of my dogs, and needed some questions answered. From my first email Dean from Silver Birch replied quickly and answered all my questions. He encouraged me to visit, and was very flexible with the times I could come. My first impressions of the kennels were great, they were spotlessly clean, and all the dogs there were calm and happy. My worries for my young dog were solved when I saw that the kennels have full height walls between them so dogs are not eye to eye with the next dog, and the kennels all face the garden not each other. Dean reassured me that as Silver Birch is a small kennels, all the dogs get plenty of time out of the kennel and they have time to give them lots of personal attention. This was such a worry off my mind for my old greyhound. I realised this was so important to me in my selection of a kennels and that this could only be achieved from a small family run kennels like Silver Birch. I booked my dogs in for Sept, and I feel so much better about leaving them. I will update the site with how they got on after their stay! Emma Garland, Cambridgeshire
